An adventurous and luxurious twist
Half photography workshop, half enjoying fabulous flavours and time in the outdoors. We will be staying in a charming manor located in the beautiful Råneå river valley, far away from city stress, and enjoy amazing meals together, prepared by our professional chef.
The workshop starts with a theoretical part indoors the morning after the arrival. The next day we will do practical exercises where we experiment with our cameras outside. All throughout the weekend there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions.
Apart from pure education, our weekend will also be filled with activities outdoors typical to life by the arctic circle. We will hike through the winter wonderland, enjoy a wood heated sauna and hot tub, sit by the fire and of course look out for the enchanting northern lights.
My goals is for you to head back home full of knowledge, inspiration and energy, and hopefully several new friends.
No previous skills required. You need to bring your own camera with access to fully manual settings, i.e. control over aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Feel free to bring your manual if you are unsure how to change the settings.
A tripod would be beneficial but if you don't have one that is OK.
Full board
Included in the price are all meals which we will share together; amazing healthy food prepared with the best ingredients, influenced from the cousine typical to northern Sweden. We begin with a two-course dinner on the arrival day and end with lunch on the day of departure.
Please be sure to include any meal preferences and/or allergies when booking.
Each room will be shared by two people. There is also an option to upgrade to a single room if you prefer your own space for an extra cost, paid directly at the lodge upon arrival. Just make a note of it when you book so I can reassure availability.
Travel directions
Pick-up point: Boden Central Station. If you travel from Stockholm there is a night train that will take you all the way.
An optional arrival point is to fly to the nearest airport in Luleå (Kallax), but you would then have to arrange transportation to Boden yourself. There are buses and taxi services at the airport.
